NID is an Institute of National Importance by the NID Act (18 of 2014 ) of Parliament & a Statutory Institute under the DIPP, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
NID Vijayawada & NID Kurukshetra are independent autonomous Institute under the DIPP, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
Admissions 2018-19

( M.Des. 2.5 years ) at NIDs Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gandhinagar Campuses.
- 2) Bachelor of Design
( B.Des. 4 years ) at NIDs Ahmedabad Campus.
- 3) GDPD
( Graduate Diploma Programme in Design 4 years ) at NID-Vijaywada & NID-Kurukshetra
