Kedarnath Movie Review

The film is based in the valleys and mountains of Kedarnath in Uttarakhand. It features a love story between Mansoor ( Sushant Singh Rajput) a Muslim guy who is a local pithoo and Mandakini aka Mukku (Sara Ali Khan) a young girl living in Kedarnath with her Brahmin family.

The story gets a boost due to climatic floods that devasted civilization in the mountain town of Uttarakhand in 2013. Based on this real incident which almost destroyed the entire Uttarakhand ‘KEDARNATH’ is a great feature to enjoy.

Sara Ali Khan being a fresher gave a commendably appreciative performance. This is great she will definitely change the definition of Nepotism. The film captures the beauty of Kedarnath temple and the Himalayas with amazing cinematography.

The film shows the struggle between the love story of a Muslim guy and a Hindu Brahmin girl. It’s a social message to stop discrimination. The main focus of film stays on the love story itself. Film redefined the definition of selfless love of Mansoor for his Mummy.

If we judge according to songs, there are no romantic tracks that really hold your attention. But the song Namo Namo was quite interesting. A beautiful scene where an old song is sung by Mansoor that is ‘lag Jaa gale’ won hearts. Mansoor a Muslim guy helped each and every person during the flood and sacrificed his own life. The last climax tore hearts of Kedarnath audience. I think the actors did justice with the script and in this world where action films rules ‘Kedarnath’ will set a record.
